Another Defence Officer, Captain Raesam, is temporarily laid up with a recurrence of a fevef con* tracbed in Africa, but it is expected that ha will be abte to attend to his duties in a day or two, An improvement is imported in ,the condition of SergeantMaijot Millet, who was injured by some persons unknown at the Lower Butt recently. It will probably be a week before he is able to leave hospital.
