OTTAWA, 23rd August, (The anti<Laurier sentiment in Quebec is increasing. The Nationalists accuse the Prime Minister of a departure from his pledges in establishing a Canadian Navy. Wilfrid Laurier is assuring the electors that the navy is under the full control of Canada, and will only be used when Canada consents. RECIPROCITY DENOUNCED. 4 BY AN EX^iINISTER. (Received August 24, 8.5 a.m.) OTTAWA, 23rd August. The Hon. Mr. Clifford, ex-Minister of the Interior, is campaigning in Ontario against reciprocity. He denounces an entanglement with the United States, the sole aim of which would be the political absorption, of Canada.
