Though the weather conditions so far as Wellington is concerned are bright enough at present, a warning comes from the Meteorological Office that a change is probable, that stormy conditions generally may be anticipated. Rain is expected shortly in most parts of the country, and snow on the higher levels in the South. Changeable and showery weather has been experienced on. all the Western coast, and in the_ southernmost districts. The barometer is still unsteady, with a probable decline northward of New Ply. mouth and Napier. A southerly wind, strong to gafe, and veering to southeasterly, is likely to obtain.
Frederick James Mann, of Upper Hutt, butcher, was to-day adjudged a bankrupt.
