POULTRY, PIGEON, AND CANARY SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. The twenty-sixth annual meeting 6f the above society was m*d last wefting, Mr. Daniel Murphy presiding s The annual report anu ' balance-sheet-wcm. adopted, and tho delegate to the North Island Conference (Mr. J. Currie) also presented his report. In the course of his remarks tho chairman, commenting upon the work of the society, stated that the expenses had been cut down aB low as possible, and ho hoped that the incoming committee Would do all in its power to increase the financial position -of the society. The donations received ih 1911 showed a decrease of £18 on those received in 1909. At tho Wellington Show this year the North Island championships for Leghorns and Minoreaa, and the New Zealand Leghorn and Mitiorua Club's champion shield were competed for. Tho winners of the championships, cupa donated by fanciers, and the, society's trophy wore as follow i^— Now Zealand Championships. — Leghorns, H. J. Meyrick, Carterton; Minoreas, G-. C.
