CRIMINAL SESSIONS.
PALMEKSTON, 22nd August. At the Supreme Court to-day, * before the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stoat), Frank P. Bruford, an ex-Ohifo Home ! inmate, was found guilty of obtaining ! £12 from William Dwyer, Hunterville, by intimating that he had £2000 in j Dunedin. He was remanded till Thurs* day for sentence. Bene Amini 2 with eleven previous convictions, was found guilty of theft ,of £28 from the person of Akong* Mohi, and sentenced to two years' hard labour, and declared an habitual criminal. \ ! John Piobert M'Gfegor and Alexander i Stanley D,ickson, found guilty of assault and robbery of a man. named Nisson j were remanded for sentence and the pro- j bation officer's report.
