By Teleßf»flt.— Pfe«* Associations-Copyright, (Received August 2, 8.20 a.m.) OTTAWA, Ist August. , The Prime Minister, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, in his election address, recites the history of the Reciprocity movement, declaring that the present Conservative patty seeks to reverse the policy of its gteat leader, Sir John Macdonald. Sir Wilfrid Laurier denies that Reciprocity is likely to lead to the annexation, of Canada by the United States. Hs adds that British preference will be maintained. The Conservatives express themselves confident of sweeping British Columbia, Manitoba,, and Ontario. It i? expected that Sir Wilfrid Latv Her will hold Quebec, but the unpopularity of his naval policy will probably cost him some seats.
