The Mararoa shifted alongside Glasgow Wharf to-day to load 32 fat cattle fof Lyttelton. The charter is announced of the steamer Falls of Orchy, 4904 tons, to load case oil at New York for six New Zealand ports. At Auckland it was discovered that a portion of the cargo bfought by the steamer Sussex from Liverpool had been damaged on the voyage. Before reaching Hobart tho steamer encountered a terrific gale, and a portion of the heavy cargo, consisting of machinery, hardware, soft goods drapery, etc., siowed in No. 2 hold, broke loose.
