The skating carnival held oft Friday night attracted a large attendance of the public and the entries being very satisfactory, the function was a great success. The takings totalled £21 18s. Th© swimming baths fund will benefit to- the extent of about £12. , Air. A. W. Moller, of 'the local railway staff, who Has been appointed ®tationmaster; at Te was farewelled prior to hia departure and mad© the recipient, of a presentation, The ploughing match to b& held under tho allspices of the Wairarapa A, and P. Society is to take place on Thursday next, having been postponed from' last Thursday. The match will be held at "Morison's Bush.'
