At a meeting held unde^ the auspices of the Independent Labour Party mid the Fabian Society, it wrs resolved to demand the withdrawal of the National Insurance Bill. Mr. Philip Snowden, Labour member for Blftdtbttrn, said th Bill was meagre, pettifogging, and ineffective. If Ml-. Lloyd George w&a unwilling to add A. penny to the burden of taxation, it w« evident that the Socialists and the Social Reformers must part c<Wnpa.ny, Mr. George LaMsbary, Labour M.P, for Bow and Bromley, said Mf. Lloyt George professed to love the people, whil< at the game time he Was tumbling ovet himself to save the pockets of the rich.
