New* wa« received this morning that tfte two men Higgins and Baker, wh(* attempted to cross Waikaremoana on a raft last week were discovered by' Maoris crossing the lake last Tuesday to the Pah oa the other side. They noticed something moying on the water and on pulling closer found the two men in an exhausted condition still pulling feebly. They were taken over to the pah and Cared for. Had it not been for this help they must have died. The weather was bitterly cold on the lake, The men are being brought to Ohin&poto, near Lake , House, today.
