A Treasury return ehowe that laet year England contributed towards tho Imperial expenditure 90.53 per cent of the total ! Scotland, 9.22 per cent. ; Ireland, 0.25 per cent. England contributed to the revenue 84.36 per cent. ; .Scotland, 9.86 per cent. ; and Ireland, 5.78 per cent. England's local expenditure was 73.19 per cent, of the whole for the Kingdom j Scotland's, 11.03 per tent. ; and Ireland's, 15.78 per cent.
