TAURANGA WATER SUPPLY.
TAURANGA, 27th July. iThe contract for the. Tanranga water supply is now completed. The water Was turned on this morning, and a good display, giving a pressure of 1201b to the square inch by tested gauge, was made. By the aid of a fire hose, water was wjnt over the highest building. The main lino and reticulation measure nearly sixteen miles. The contract was carried out by the Nephan-Ferguson Steel Pipe Company, \Vanganui. Mr. H. Munro Wilson) of Auckland, was the engineer. The cost to the borough will be about £12,000.
