AN AGENT'S CLAIM.

Reserved judgment was given by Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., to-day, in the case in which David Clark, agent, of Manners* street, sued Amy S. Barraclough, of Myrtle-crescenti, Wellington, proprietor of the Barraclough Herbal Proprietary, for £56 4«, alleged to be owing for services rendered in tho supervision of the business. Defendant hied a counterclaim fof £30 15s 4d, for balance of money alleged to have been received by plaintiff for defendant, and not accounted for. After reviewing the evidence, his Worship said that in his opinion plaintiff had not only been amply paid for any services rendered, but he had been greatly overpaid. Judgment would be ior defendant. Judgment was also given for defendant on the counter-claim. Mr. E. Samuels appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. E. K. Kirkcaldie for defendant.
