The vessel dropped anchor in the stream at 9.25 p.m., and berthed at Ko. 1, south, Queen's Wharf, a little over an hour afterwards. She left Syd« uey at 1.15 p.m, on Saturday last, and as Boon as the heads were cleared she ran into a strong south-easterly gale accompanied by a heavy beam aea (which changed to a head -ea) and thick squally weather. These conditions prevailed right across from Sydney to Pencarrow Heads. Ruahine arrived in the stvenm tit Wellington shortly after midnight last night from London, Capetown, and Hobart, and berthed at the King's Wharf aboub 9.30 o'clock this morning. The Ruahine left the Royal Albert Docks at midday on Friday, oth June, and after embarking passengers at Tilbury, left the same day for Plymouth, which was reached the next even'ng After embarking passengers and malls the voyage -was resumed at 10.30 p.m., light winds and fine weather prevailing to arrival at Teneriffe on Thursday. 15th June. Teneriffe was left at 11 p.m., and on the run down to Capetown strong trades were experienced oft both sides of the equator with considerable Sea, The Vessel arrived at Capetown at 7.46 a.m. on Saturday, Ist July, and after a stay of seven hours left for Hobart. The vessel will not now come to Welling' ton.
