At the Imperial Conference yesterday, Mr. Fisher (Australian Prime Minister) moved :— "That the present Suez Canal dues constitute a heavy charge tending to retard trade within tho • Empire and with other countries, sind that the Conference invites tho Homo Government to continuo its efforts to obtain a substantial reduction." The motion was carried.
