At the Police Court, as the result of a raid made recently by the police at a | Maori settlement, John Caliaghan, a coachman, was fined £2 for supplying liquor to a native. Defendant had brought out beer from town for a native named Swan, who^yas also charged with introducing liquor to a Maori kianga, and who was fined £5.
