WELLINGTON BROTHERHOOD.

A meeting of the Wellington Brothelhood was held yesterday in the Druids' Hall. There was a largo attendance, both men and women being present. The, speaker for the afternoon was D r - Platte-Mills, who spoke on the subject of Motherhood, referring specially to the sacrifice involved, and emphasising the necessity for parental affection. Mr. Shah, Acting Chinese Consul, also referred sympathetically to the movement. Mr. B. Cooper recited : "Mothers — neglected and* accepted." At the conclusion of the meeting a hearty vote of thanks was tendered the various speakers. Mr. W. J. Jordan, secretary of the movement, was farewellcd during the afternoon, as he is leaving for Waihi for a few mouths. Reference was made to his excellent work an secretary.
