Subject to ratification by employers and men, tho central conference held vt York to discuss the issue between the Clyde engineers and the employers'agreed to a farthing advance in wages in June next, and, another in January. The agreement will remain in operation for three years. 'PRINTERS' STRIKE. MINIMUM WAGE DEMANDED. CAPETOWN, 11th May. The printers on strike now demand a minimum wage of 75s' per week of 48 hours, instead of 66s per week of B0 hours. DOCKERS OUT AT OPORTO. j LisioN, 11th May. The dockerp at Oporto have struck work. HARVESTER WORKERS. A HITCH. (Received May 12, 10.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. A hitch has occurred in connection with the harvester workers' agreement, the men alleging that tho masters are re-employing men in such a manner as to victimise fhem. The Strike Committee is endeavouring to arrange a conference on the matter. ,
