SYNOPSIS OF THE PAST 48 HOOP B The weather ( has been cool and changeable, and showers have fallen in many parts, but fair conditions have succeeded generally and prevail to-day. Cold nights have been experienced throughout tbe country, frosts being recorded at scattered stations inland. Moderate to strong southerly winds have generally prevailed, but the direction is more easterly to-day northward of Kawhia and Kast Cape. Atmospheric pressure is considerably above normal everywhere.
