King Victor Emmanuel welcomed Prince Arthur of Connaught (son of the Duke of Connaught), who was the bearer of King George's congratulations on Italy's Jubilee. There was a frantic pro-Britieb demonstration on the Prince's arrival. A crowd of twenty-five thousand persons assembled outside the Quirinal.
