The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Ladies' Hockey Club was held last evening.The championship matches will be commenced on 11th May, and the fixtures will be drawn up a week previous. Mr. W. L. Falconer, of Masterton, is about to leave on a trip to th© Old Country. The annual general meeting of the Masterton Horticultural Society will be held this evening. Turnip and swede crops in this district have been considerably damaged by diamond moth. The recent rain has produced blignt in some of the late potato crops about MasLerton. Several bylaw cases are to be heard at a. sitting of the Magistrate's Court on Friday.
