BURGLARY IN THE CITY.
The offices of Messrs Scott and Martmdale, in the Stock Exchange Buildings, were entered by burglars last night, and a sum of about £150 in notes and gold, together with a number of cheques, was stolen. It is surmised [-that the safe from which the money was taken had been- inadvertently left unI locked.
William M'Carley, who was accidentally shot in the back at South Karori on Sunday, is reported by the Hospital authorities this afternoon to be feeling a little easier. Tho first annual meeting of St! Mary's Hibernian Literary and Debating Society was held last Tuesday evening. The following officers were elected : — Patron, Rev.
