The debate on the Reciprocity Bill has opened in the House of Representatives. The Democrats strongly support the measure, urging that it is merely the first step in the direction of revision of the tariffs to which the party is pledged. Strong opposition has been, bhown to the measure, but its passage through the House is assured.
