GRAIN MARKET.
[bt tjslegbaph— pbess association.] OAMARU, 14th April. There is very little movement to report in tho grain and produce market for the week just ended, the Easter holidays no doubt interfering considerably with business in wheat. A few odd lines of velvet changed hands at 3s on trucks at country stations, and a small qusntiiys of Tuscan was turned over at 2s lid on trucks. Oats and potatoes ere practically at a standstill, some odd lots of the former having been placed at/ 2s 2d on trucks. Theie is, however, good enquiry for Duns and Algerian oats, also Cape barley • and rye corn. Farmers aro apparently holding on to their stocks of wheat and oats in anticipation of a rise.
