ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

The New Zealand Referees' Association (soocor) met last evening. Present: — Mr. W. Monckton (presiding), Messrs. W. E. Wolls, B. L. Salmon. C. J. Ward, C. E. Fordham, H. G. Mayer, and H. Yeoman. A lottor was received from the secretary of tho Now Zoaland Football Association stating that the council had approved o£ several decisions of the Referees' Association, but one in connection with changing the ball during the game had been sent on to tho Football Association for a ruling. Mr. Mayer stated that he had received the badges for tho uso of referees throughout Now Zealand. Tho question of setting up a standard of examination was left to Messrs. Yeoman and Fordham, It was docided that tho secretary should writoto the Manawatu Football Association suggesting the formation of a Referees' Association tit Palmerston North.
