ST. JOHN'S DEBATING SOCIETY.
The annual meeting of St. John's Literary and Debating Society was held in the Willis-street Clasa : room on Monday night. The chair was occupied by Mr. J. S. Butler. The following officers were ■olected -.—Patron, Mr. J. G. W. Aitken; president, the Rev. Dr. Gibb; vice-presidentfl. Messrs. J. S. Butler, J. Boal, , G. A. Troup, C. S. Moore, VV. Gray; secretary, Mr. Arthur R. Coad; treasurer, Mr. C. IS!. Mitchell; committee, Messrs. R. L. Andrew, D. Douglas, C. Millior, Tily. It was resolved to get the syllabus for the coming year di'awn up.
