On the training tracks, Crown Derby galloped a mile in lmin 43^sec — tlvb fastest gallop, of the season. He carried a light boy. Lady Medallist did the distance in a quarter of a second slower. Comedy King covered a mile comfortably in lmin 46aec, Parisian a milo and a quarter in 2min 15scc, in good style, Bridge the same distance in 2min 17sec, Mindful the came hi 2min 14 sec.
