In the Supreme* Court, William George Shaw, aged 20, charged with forging and uttering, pleaded that the money was as much, his" as it was the man whose name he forged. He was admitted to probation for two years. Frank Muller, aged 27, formerly in the United States Navy", charged with assault and causing bodily harm at Hamilton, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment. Karle Laar, a foreign seaman, admitted stabbing another sailor with a knife, and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
