AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. will hold_ a sale of household furniture, including upright grand piano and organ, and the part contents of two furnished houses sent in from suburbs. The sale is being held next Wednesday at their rooms, 26, Braiyion-streeo, commencing at 1.30 p.m. The firm also insert preliminary notice of a sale of household fuiißiteire, including upright grand piano, pianola, and billiard table by Alcock, on account of Mr. C. M. Moutefiore, who has left for v Sydney. The sale will be held on Thursday, 20th April, at, 1 o'clock, at Ms residence, 18, Kensingtonstreet, off Abel Smith-street. A sale of 80,000 ft of timber of all "descriptions will be held on. 26th April by Messrs Wilson and Co., on account of Messrs. C. and A. Odlin, Timber and Hardware Co., who are rearranging their stocks. Messrs T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., announce in our auction sale column the sale, by order of the Registrar of the Supreme CoWl, on the 10th May, at their Exchange Land Mart, of a valuable leasehold block, situate Con-stable-street, with the double-fronted shop, two-story dwelling of seven rooms, bakehouse with oven and loft, three-stall stable and trapshed with brick sides and back, "arected thereon. The firm also advertise a sale of Irish linens, on account of Mi-. J. P. Murphy, the well-, known Belfast shipper, who is returning to Ireland. The sale will be held on Monday and Tuesday, ir their rooms, commencing at 11 o'clock each day, and the goods comprise Irish linen .sheeting, damask tablecloths, serviettes, handkerchiefs, hand-embroidered robes, blouses, etc., to be sold without reserve. On the same date,' at 10.30, they will . sell a four h.p. motor cycle, free engine and two speeds. On. Wednesday, 12th inst., commencing at 1.30 o'clock in their rooms, they' will hold a sale of household .. furnishings, Chesterfield lounge, etc., and on Thursday 13th inst., commencing at 11 o'clock, they will hold a sale of building material, 550 sheets iron, etc., at Dimock and Co, 'a late premises, Waterloo-quay. On Wednesday next, at 2 p.m., Messrs. Bsthune and Co., by order of the Pubhc Trustee, will submit' a 10 h.p. 1909 double cylinder two-sealed "Darracq" motorcar. The car is now on view. The firm ■also announces that on Tuesday, 25th inst., at their rooms, at 3 p.m., under instructions from the Registrar oi the Supreme Court, they are submitting a residential property at llata-road, Ha-tai-tai. This comprises freehold land, with ,an area of 14.7 perches, part section 3, Evans Bay district, with a dwelling of t> rooma and conveniences thereon. Messrs. Bethune and Co. insert an amended list of business and residential .properties which they have on their "books for private sale, also a number of houses to lei, both furnished and un•furnished. They specially advertise to ilet a furnishe-d house on Wellingtonterrace and a centrally-situated hall. On Monday next at 109, Abel Smithetreet, Messrs: Harcourl -and Co. will sell by auction the contents of the house, containing 10 room 6. ' On Tuesday, at their rooms, 195, Lambton-quay, the following properties will be offered : — Acting under instructions from the solicitors of the estate of the- late Mrs. C. SL. Hsaphy, three properties situated in Tinakori-road — No. 43, which i_j a leasehold, and Nos. 10 and 12, which are freeholds. Instructed by Mr. A. -T. Clarke, liquidator of the estate of Peter M'Ardle, a -residence in Majoribanksstreet, No. 103, will be offered, and Lots 236, 237, 242, 243, 244., D.P. 993, on -.the plan of Muritai, will be offered. Acting under instructions from the- second mortgagee a property in Brandon- ■* street, Seatoun, will be offered comprising a. 5-rooined dwelling with conveniences. Braithwaite and Co. will conduct a sale of household furniture and \ effects at the City Auction Mart, Manners-street, on Monday, 10th April,, at ,2 p.m. Tho same firm will also conduct a sale of horses, vehicles, and harness, at the Nag's Head yards, Dixon-fitreet, on Wednesday, next, the 12th April, at 2 p.m. Further -sentries are invited for this sale. Messrs. Mbunsey and Co. advertise particulars to-day regarding a clearing sale of furniture to be held at Palmerston Nortii on Wednesday next, on behalf of Mrs. N. O'Reilly, who is leaving the district. The furniture includes an upright grand piano. The same firm will hold a sale of residential property on Tuesday next, on behalf of Mr. P/Tortonson. who is leaving Palmerston. The house is conveniently situated to »the business portion of the town. Messrs. William H. Turnbull and Co. advertise particulars of three selected properties situated in Oriental Bay, liataitai, and Wellington-terrace. These properties have all been inspected by the tirm. Messrs. Longmore and Co. advertise in this issue a replace advertisement of properties for sale.

The prize presented by the secretary of the Ladier" Hint Golf Club was competed for on Wednesday last, and resulted in a win for Miss' Cook, with a net score of 59 (handicap 50). Mia3 Rose 77 (handicap 16), was second.
