The sciatic i^- r ve was very tender to the touch. The attack used to vary, sometimes, lasting for a week or more, and at ot^jor times for a day or so. It was aly'Ays a burning pain ; walking would ftritate it. The muscles wasted away. I had been in this statei for about ten years, and whenever it came on I used to consult the doctors, but without receiving permanent relief, and had come to tho conclusion that it would come and go whenever ifc liked.
