AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. The following athletes have been chosen to represont the Wellington Cantre at the New Zealand championships to he decided at Christchurch on 18th March :— 100 yds, F. C. Hubbard ; 220 yds, F. C. Hubbard ; 440 yds, W. G. Harding and F. C. Hubbard ; 880 yds, W. G. Harding and J. F. Wilson; one-mile flat, J. F-' Wilson; one and three-mile walks, H. B. Kerr; 120 yds hurdles, A. Evenson, R. M'Kenzic; 440 yds hurdles, A. Evensen, A. C. Kitto, Pv. M'Kenzie ; high jump, A. Eveneen and L. M'Kay; long jump, F. C. Hubbard; pole vault, L. M'Kay and A. Evensen; hop. step, and jump, li. M'Kay, F. C. Hubbard, and R. M'Kenzie ; throwing the hammer, A. Bissett; putting the shot, L. M'Kay and A. Bissstt. In tho event of Harding not being available, J. Wilton will be selected for the 440 yds flat. Tho following will be aoked To give trials: — L. B. Baxter (thrao miles flat), D. Cashman, P. Fitzgerald, and G. Turner (one-mile walk), A. Halligan (120 yds hurdles), N. G. Winkelmann (high jump). If any others wish to compete, their names can be included in tho official list on application to the secretary, Mr. W. L. Dunn.
