The following serrtonces were imposed in the Supremo Couit to-day : — James Lucas (for theft of £5 from a custompr), four months at Invercargill Gaol; Alexander SfcracLan (discharging firearms with intent to commit wilful murder), reformatory treatment; Fredk. Williams (attempted rape and burglary), five years' imprisonment; John Morrison (found by night in a dwelling with intent to commit a crime), twelve months' probation. The court is occupied to-day with the P'jcoiid trial of Donald Morrison, charged I with sheep-stealing, th§ first jury having [ failed to agree. " '
