Three men were charged at the Lam-, beth Police Court with grievously assaulting Stevens, the cabman who drove Steiner Morrison (charged with killing a French Jew named Beron at Clapham Common in December last), on the night of the murder. Before committing the assault the men, it is alleged, questioned Stevens -regarding the evidence ho intended, giving at the trial of Morrison. The accused were remanded.
