Count de Lassy has been sentenced to penal servitude for life, and Dr. Patchenko to fifteen years' imprisonment, the latter for murdering, in May last, Count Bouturlin, a wealthy young exarmy officer, and the former for conspiring with Patchenko to "remove" General Bouturlin (the dead count's father) and Madame Lazardi (the general's divorced wife).
