The balance-sheet of the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd., for the year ended 30th November. 1910, shows that the net income from premiums, interest, and rents amounts to £635,658. The credit balance, after payment of the dividend of £15,000 in August last, is £66,606, out of which tho directors recommend placing 525,000 to reserves. From the available balance of £4-1.606 the directors recommend the payment of a dividend at the rale of 2s per share, and a jubilee bonus of Is per Share, absorbing £22,500, making 5s per share for the year, and also to transfer £5000 to a proposed provident fund. The paid-up capital reserves, and undivided profit now amount to .€789,106, altar providing for the dividend and bonus recommended by the directors.
