BOOKMAKERS' FEES.
[BS TELUGKATH — SPECIAL TO THS POST.] AUCKLAND, This Day. Since their reinstatement, the bookmakers have paid to the Takapuna, Jockey Clvb — the first club to license them under tho new Act. and also the last under which they plied their calling — the sum 01 £8462. During' the same period the cluh has distributed the sum of £21,655 in stakes, so that the bookmakers have, contributed over one-third of that amount.
