>#> MR. J. L. KIPLING. > By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. 1 LONDON, 30th January. 1 Mr. John Lockwood Kipling, Mr. Rudyard Kipling's father, is dead. [Mr. Kipling, who was in his 74th year, went to India at an early age and entered the Educational Service. He ' was architectural sculptor at the Bombay School of Art from 1865 to 1875, when he was appointed Principal of the Mayo School of Art and Curator of the Central Museum at Lahore. He retired some years ago, and has since lived in England. He published in 1891 a book entitled "Beast and Man in India." The Companionship of the Order of the Indian Empire was conferred upon him in 1886.]
