MAORI CHILD DROWNED. [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, 21st January.
A Maori girl named Polly Penekupa, aged three years, was drowned in the Waikato River, near Huntly, to-day. Her sister went for a swim, leaving the child asleep" on the bank. When she re turned she found the little one had fallen in two feefc of water, but she was drowned.
