CANADA AND UNITED STATES.
RECIPROCITY QUESTION. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. NEW YORK, 18th January. The negotiations between representatives of Canada and the United States, now being conducted at Washington, on the question of reciprocity, have progressed so far that the main outlines of an agreement have been reached. The United States is seeking for Lhe admission of wood pulp mto Canada, and agreement on this point is probable when additional experts arrive at Washington from Canada. The Democrats announce that they would have ai ranged for reciprocity with Canada on their assumption of power next month.
