TOLL OF THE SEA.
WRECKS ON NEW SOUTH WALES COAST. By Telegraph.— Press Association Copyright. SYDNEY, 18th January. The Navigation Department's report shows that six wrecks occurred on the New South Wales coast last year, and that two lives were lost in them. The vessels were valued at £178,000 FIPESHIRE'S CARGO DAMAGED. LONDON, 18th January. Fire and water damaged the steamer Fifeshire's cargo in the after-hold, while the vessel was discharging at Avonmouth. The butter and cheese is undamaged. [On 14th November last, when the vessel was at the Bluff, a fire broke out in the fan-room, but was extinguished before much damage was done.] THE OVERDUE PARISIANA. LONDON, 18th JanuaryReinsurances at 60 guineas" per cent, have been effected on the missing steamer Parisiana, bound for Australia with an oil cargo, and which is now three weeks overdue. BARQUE DUNEARN. (Received January 19, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 18th January. The Norwegian barque Dunearn, 1632 tons gross, has been posted as missing.
