Mr. Frank Woithing, the Scottish ac- I tor, died suddenly at a theatre at Detroit. The performance was abandoned. ' [Mr. Worthing made his first appear- 1 ance on the London stage at the nowdefunct Jordroll Theatre (Great Queenstreet), on 24th November, 1888, as Mr. France in "The Alderman." He subsequently played with 3Trs. Langtry on tour. In 1894 he made his lirst appearance on the American stage, at Daly's, returned to London the following year, and agpin visited America in 1896. He reappeared in London in 1906 and 1907. Mr. Worthing was a versatile actor ; legitimate drama, comedy, melodrama, and opera (he played Lieutenant Pinkcrton in "Madam Butterfly") have known him.]
