The light was steady, and though a wind was blowing, the shooting conditions were- good. Wellington Match. The Wellington Match (ten shots at 800 yds) was won by Sergeant Davies, of Taranaki, with a, score of 49. He takes £4. Corporal Given (City Rifles), Lance-Corporal Hunt (Zealandia Rifles), and Rifleman G. Hyde (ODaki), made 48, and take £2 10s, £2, and £1 10s respectively. Sergeant Cannon (Wanganui Highlanders), Rifleman Winsiade (Opaki), Sergeant Hugo (Zealandia Rifles), Lieutenant Butler (Hutt Valley Rifles). Rifleman G. Halliday (Karori), Rifleman Guy (Kaponga), Sergeant Dodd (City Rifles), Lieutenant Hollard (Hutt), Pri,vats Kennedy (Manchester Rifles), and Rifleman Duffle (Christchurch), took '£1 each. Masterton Match. The Masterton Match (10 shots at 600 yards) was -won by. Rifleman Jenkins' (Okato), with 49. He takes £4. Rifleman Jones (Opaki), £2 10s, 48 ; Captain Balkrop (Manchester Rifles), v '£l " 15s, 48; Lieutenant Kollard (Hutt), £1, 48; Rifleman Marshall (Karori), £1, 48; Rifleman Guy (Kaponga), Rifleman Lewin (Opaki), Banks (Kimbolton), Jarvis (Taradale), Danrell (Akarana), Atkinspn (Auckland), Glacken (Himitangi), and Duffie (Christchurch), also took £1. Manawatu Match. The Manawatu Match (10 shots .at 800 yds) was won by Rifleman' Danrell (Akarana), £4, 49; Quarkrman (Wanganui Rifles), £2 10b, 49 ; Lance-Corporal Hunt (Zealandia Rifles), £2, 48; Private Meghen (Manchester Rifles), £1 10s, 48. Cameron (Opaki), Beltham (Opaki), Sharland (Stoke Biflec), SergoanL Herd ' (Royal Rifles), Gil&hnan (Palmer:: ton), ' Harrison (Wanginui Rifleb); Govenlock . (Woodville), and M'Lachlan (Petone) ! each took £1. . j Championship Belt. The North Island championship belt, ' gold medal and £3 was won by LanceCorporal Hunt, of tho Zealandia Rifles, Wellington, who made 288. Tho other scores were :— King (Opaki), second, 2SB; Rifleman Danrell (Auckland), 285 ; Cameron (Opaki), 285; Harrison (Wanganui) 284; M'Lachlan (Petone), 253 ; M'Calmont (Opaki), 282; Winstone (Opaki), 281; Dodd (City 1 - Rifles), 280; Duffie j (Christchurch), 280. ] Hunt and King having tied, and also j Danrell and Cameron, these competitors had to shoot off, Hunt scoring three ! more than .King, who missed the target ■ with one shot. Danrell ako scored three more than Cameron. Hunt is only 18 years of ago, and is an ex-member of the Wanganui Defence Cadeto. As a tyro in 1909 he won the belt, open to his company, beating some first-class . shots. ! Last Try Match. The Last Try Match (seven shots at 500 yards) 'was won "by t Allen (Wanganui), 35. Jarvis (Taradale), Bairstow (Opaki), and M'lntosli were th© other placed men. Teams' Mater. The Teams' Matcn- was won by Opaki No. 1, with 475 points, for the filth year in succession. Taradalo made 470, Petono 462, and Wanganui Rifles 461.
