EVENING POST v. PAHAUTANUI.

An enjoyable Aveek-end match was played between (he above teams, the countrymen -winning, after a close struggle, by 8 runs. Batting first, The Post had 51 up for three at the luncheon adjournment, but the veteran A. Hanis and Mr. "Run Out" got to work after lunch, and spread-eagled the pressmen, ■who developed a spineless "tail." The Pahautanui representatives hit up 63, but they were greatly indebted to tha field. In the second knock The Post compiled 65 also.
