MASTERTON MATTERS.
[BX THCEGEIPH — SHECItX TO THE TOST.] MASTERTON, This Day. There was not a single case of drunkenness reported in Masterton for thai month of November. T.he school gardens competition, organised by the Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society, has been- won by Gladstone School for the third year in succession. It is expected that harvesting will be in full swing around Masterton in about three weeks or a month. Several Masterton athletes are going to compete at the Wellington Amateur Athletic Club's .sports meeting on 10th December.
"Post Card Night" was observed at the Queen Victoria Juvenile Temple, 1.0. G.T., - Bro. S. G. Gow being in charge. Post cards were received from Lord and Lady Islington, Mr. M'Gowen, Premier of New South Wales, Mr. Verran, Premier of South Australia, Mr. Jbiwang, Chinese Consul, Mr. Pettit, Mayor of Nelson, Mrs. A. R. Atkinson, Sister Cameron, Grand Superintendent of , Juvenile .Work, and many others.
