On the recommendation of the City* Engineer, Plunket-stieet is to be widened at a dangerous point about four chains from Upland-road. Just as a train commenced to move away from Ngaio platform, for town, a.t 7.24 this morning, a small boy named Haggett attempted to board a carriage, but missed his footing and fell between the train and the plattorm. Driver \i. Nickless, in chaige of the iocomotive, saw the occurrence as he watched tlie platform, and promptly brought the tram to a standstill. Passengers expressed warm commendation of the driver's presence of mind. The Doy was uninjured. At many sittings of th'e Supreme Court lately references have been made to the difficulty experienced by the judges in getting through the business and keeping their circuit engagements. In Chambers this < morning, Mr. A. W. Blair mentioned that there .vould be a sitting in Wanganui on 7th December. Mr. Justice Chapman said he understood that the Chief Justice would take it, but Mr. Blair pointed out that he was due at Blenheim on that date, and he had a week's work in front of him there. His Honour then said that perhaps Mi 1 . Justice Cooper would take the Wanganui sittings. He assumed that some arrangement would be made. He himself was ltaving for Westport to-morrow. YOU SHOULD BEAR IN MIND That by using 'tho commercial eucalyptus oil which is now bought up at 6d per 1b | weight and_ bottled, and on account of tho large profit, pushed, you are exposing yourself to all the dangers to which tho use of turpentine will expose you — irritation of kidneys, intestinal tract, and mucous membranes. By insisting on the GENUINE SANDER EUCALYPTI EXTRACT, you not only avoid thoso pitfalls, but you have a stimulant, 6afe, and effective medicament, the result of a special and careful manufacture. Remember - SANDER'S EXTRACT embodies the result of 50' years' experience and of special study, and it does what ia promised: It heals and cures without injuring. SANDER'S EXTRACT possesses curative powers peculiarly its own, and it can be used with perfect 1 safety internally and externally.— Advt.
