A house owned and occupied by Stephen Tapp, junr., at Springlands, was completely destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon, together with practically all the contents. The house was insured in the United office, but the amount is not available. The furniture was covered by a, policy of £160 in the New Zealand office. Mr. Tapp is a heavy loser.
