SARGOOD CUP. At the Wellington Club Green lastevening G. D. Dall met Fleming Laurenson in the play-off, and beat him tor possession »t the Bargood Cup, which tor the past twenty-two years has beeu the mojjb coveted trophy among local bowling men. Up till now it has never been held by one member for two years in succession, but as Dall won the cup in the previous year, and again laefc evening, it becomes his property. The contest was very keen, and was closely watched by a large number of interested spectators, who cheered the winner when the final score stood— 'Dall 30, Laureneon 10. Cheers were also given for the runner-up. Mr. Dall heartily thanked members for their congratulations, and eaid he valued the Sargood Cup more highly than any other trophy he had ever won. Tie many names inscribed on it would remind him of the hard tussle he had had. The winners of the cup since 1889 are as follow : — 1889, Andrew Campbell; 1890, J. V.
