RECIPROCITY.

CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES. SOME CRITICISM. NEGOTIATIONS PROCEEDING. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received November 4, 10 a.m.) • OTTAWA, 3rd November. There is a good deal of criticism directed against reciprocity between Canada and United States. It is held that Canada is merely opening the door for trusts, and the manufacturers of a neighbour. Mr. W. S. Feilding, Canadian Minister of Finance, announces that negotiations are now proceeding between Canada and the United States. The proposals are based on the freer exchange of natural products and raw materials. British preference will remain untouched. The conference will probably end in three weeks.
