NAVY LEAGUE.
Partly because the daAe was unsuitable to many, and partly because Captain Scott, the leader of the Antarctic Expedition, is due to arrive in Wellington on Wednasday next, the Wellington Navy League's annual celebration, usually hald on 21st October, has been postponed to Wednesday evening, the 251b. Captain Scott, in. ansvrerto a cable s«nt by Mr. 0. W. Palmer, local secretary of the league, replied that he would be delighted to attend the function, which will be held at the Hotel Windsor. Tickets issued for 21st October will be available for the 26th.
The decision to open the Te Aro Baths to bathers between the hours of noon and 2 p.m. will come into force on Ist November next.
