[2-X TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, 18th October. The grain market shows practic\lly no cbunge. A little more business is re:n# done with wheat in store, which is being dealt with in order to make room for t:.e coming a-00l clip. Outside, of this thei - 3 are but few transaci i.ms laLing place as growers are holding firmly, and offerings from the country are limited. Oats are firm, but none are coming forward, and the southern market has advanced in consequence of the dermnd from the north. The continued dry weathf er is causing growers to hold on to what, i they have for feed pm-poses, and oatsheaf chafE has also advanced for the same reason, and is now quoted at 65s to 67s 6d for bright samples at country stations. Potatoes have further advanced, and are now selling at £8 at stations, but supplies are now very scarce. •
